So placed a pre order and already played the demo on ps4 but just downloaded again to check performance metrics hoping id get a locked 4K 60.I noticed at first only 1 gpu supported and started to get worried:S 4K max settings on 1 Titan X Pascal / 1080ti gets about 45 fps in the main hall. Then i remembered that RE7 also didn't natively support sli but worked with the batman arkham origins profile in DX11 mode and i figured seen as RE2 is the same engine it would also work.? And it did!:DWith dual Titan X Pascal / 2 x 1080Ti with Batman Arkham Origins profile I now get a completely locked 4K 60fps with all settings maxed besides shadows set to high instead of max due to bandwidth and volumetric lighting set to medium instead of high (if set to high there are a couple of scenes that dip to around 52ish fps) other than that works great and smooth as butter!:D looks great, plays great and seems a great game! Can't wait for the full release now:DJust throwing this information out there to help anyone with an SLI rig for both the Demo and full game.
Finished all except 2 and 3. I will so getting them through downloading. Loved Resident 1 and 5,6 and 7 because of Chris Redfield. My favourite character of all time! Hope Capcom will added more sequels to Switch library later. You never know. Many people asked for Resident Evil 2 remake and Capcom said not this time.
Originally posted by:it is not officially supported no just like RE7 was not officially supported. You have to use nvidia inspector to create a new profile. Call it RE2 Remake or whatever, then add the re2.exe from the C:/Programfiles(x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Resident Evil 2 1 Shot Demo Folder. Add compatibility bits for DX10/11 to Batman Arkham origins and set your gpu count to 2 in the SLI section. Apply then close and boot into game, make sure you run in DX11 mode and both gpus will be utilised:Dor you can just get one good card and never have to bother with any of this. So until at least the 20xx series successors come out I'd rather deal with this for now.
(FWIW if 2080ti came out at the same price the 1080ti did I would have swapped out GPUs as I have extended warranties, but I can't give up two great cards for the first gen RTX 80ti model). The 2080 ti hovers just above 60fps on the graphical fidelity preset.
Around 64-66 frames. But the 1080ti or titan pascal on 1 card alone only reaches about 57 fps with dips to 53. 2 cards required for locked 60. And would rather have 2 titan x pascal than 1 2080ti because not enough of a performance boost for the price increase.
And i also get like 100fps with 2 cards:D. Also 2080ti doesnt run every game in 4k 60.
Try deus ex mankind divided lol you still need 2 cards for sure. Besides the titan X still has more vram and i can turn up a couple extra settings too:).
Click to expand. The point was that although the Gamecube 2 and 3 had very minor changes there's little reason they couldn't receive an overhaul to bring them to the same 0, or 1 standards. Even more modest improvements of upping the resolution and upscaling the textures would likely appeal to some people. Not every Switch owner will have played 2 and 3. Not every Switch owner has access to another system with those titles and not every Switch owner uses emulation and piracy to get access to those older titles. So there's a potential market for them. If 0 and 1 sell well, there could be an easy revenue generator in the form of 2 and 3 ports to the Switch for Capcom.
Click to expand. It can be done, it's just that Capcom might be too lazy to optimize their RE Engine well enough to port it to such a device. They ported Revelations 2, although that was a different engine altogether, but RE7 and REmake 2 can be ported with some sacrifices here and there.Differences in graphics and processing stuff is not that big of a deal as it was between porting RE5 to Wii compared to 360/PS3 back in the day.Still, let's see.I feel as if Capcom is making these ports to see how much potential the Switch has for Resident Evil games. If they sell well enough, perhaps Capcom will consider releasing RE7 and RE2 for it.
